Hello again!
Today I'm going to tell you about some nice things to do in Santiago. If you like to go out at night and go clubbing, there's a really big offer in restaurants, pubs, dicoteques and bars. But if you like to go siteseeing, there's a really big variety of places, because this city is located in a valley that has a lot of different natural landscapes and, of course, the city itself has a lot of museums and colonial buildings to offer to the tourists.
If the tourist's interest is to know the local customs, such as local food and lifestyles, they must go to Santiago's Vega and to the Mercado Central. That is a very good example of how the popular citizens of this place live, and interact. Right there is a place called La Piojera, that serves the tipical drinks of this region, accompanied with the cueca, the tipical music.
Another place that's good for siteseeing is the Cerro San Cristobal. It is the highest hill in the city. When the Spanish came to Chile, and discovered this hill, they wanted to settle there, because it was a beautifull place, that was protected by the hills and had a river called Rio Mapocho.
Anyway, if a tourist comes to Santiago, they should go to a specialized tourism office and get relevant information there.
See you next week!
